Gripple, a manufacturer of bracing, anchoring, and cable management solutions for utility scale solar installations, is releasing a new Mini Hanger, specifically designed for string cable management, at Intersolar Europe 2023.

The new CableSmart Mini Hanger forms part of the Gripple cable management range which now features solutions to manage both string and home run cables safely above ground. Designed to be used with Gripple’s rapid tension CableSmart Messenger Kit, the CableSmart Mini Hanger is quick to install and offers maximum protection for cabling. This is due to its snap-lock hanger design with easy side loading function, which prevents cable damage during installation combined with the broad surface area developed to prevent long term damage from abrasion or wear.

The Gripple CableSmart cable management range has been developed as a durable long-term alternative to other more basic systems, with a design life of 30+ years across the range and a tested working temperature from -40 to + 90o C.

“Our innovation team have worked hand in hand with electrical contractors and EPC’s to develop the new CableSmart Mini Hanger,” stated Glenn Bills, Solar Business Development Director. “It is quick and easy to install using just hand tools, helping them reduce labor costs and hit project deadlines. The exhibition will be a great opportunity for us to showcase our full range of cable management, bracing and anchoring systems for the solar industry.”

Gripple will be showcasing a full CableSmart demo display at Intersolar Europe. This will highlight how the company’s above ground cable management solutions open up opportunities to develop otherwise unusable land such as landfill or brownfield, as well as avoiding issues associated with trenching and burying cables underground.

Alongside the demonstrations, Gripple will be discussing in detail how suspending power and data cables is a more effective way of managing cables on-site, making them easier to install and maintain and avoiding any geotechnical issues that could cause delays.

As well as designing and manufacturing cable management systems, Gripple also produces PV racking bracing kits, which will also be on display. These lightweight bracing kits are made of wire rope and act as a direct alternative to heavy steel bracing but use a fraction of the materials. These kits help prevent structural damage from external forces impacting the frame.
