J.F. Brennan Company (Brennan) has acquired California-based Harbor Offshore Inc. (HOI), which specializes in commercial diving, marine construction, maritime security barriers and submarine cable installation.

Brennan is a fourth-generation, family-owned company specializing in environmental remediation and marine construction services throughout waterways of the U.S. since 1919. According to a release, this acquisition brings submarine cabling and maritime security barrier expertise to Brennan and expands Brennan’s operations geographically to all 50 U.S. states.

“This acquisition opens new geographies, positioning us to better deliver our brand of work to clients and partners. It also adds new skill sets to our team,” said Brennan President and Chief Executive Officer Matt Binsfeld.

HOI has been in operation for 25 years and was a subcontractor on the Hegben Dam seismic remediation work completed in 2015.

Brennan is one of the sponsors of the Women with Hydro Vision networking lunch, held July 13 in Denver, Colo., U.S., with the HYDROVISION International event.
